Fire Restoration

Federal Government Funded

This $3,450,000 fire began in the kitchen of the administrator’s office when rags soaked in combustible materials spontaneously ignited. The fire spread rapidly and within minutes the entire east wing of the building was filled with smoke.

Within 48 hours, Minkoff was awarded a contract for the complete restoration of all fire-damaged areas.

In creating elaborately detailed architectural plans, Minkoff extensively researched the original design of this historic 1916 structure. Restoration work included the reconstruction of historic ornamental plaster and millwork.
